About Muslim Welfare Trust

About Muslim Welfare Trust, was founded in 2012 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in humanity today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity, and selflessness, the trust aims to alleviate poverty and suffering across the world. The rights of those who are neglected and oppressed are fulfilled by providing sustainable development solutions relating to food, water, shelter, education, health, and spiritual well-being. This is achieved by About:

Medical

Establishing medical and rehabilitation clinics, especially for the treatment of women and children.

Income

Our Values

We work to make immediate and lasting improvements to the lives of people affected by poverty, war and disaster and who have no one else to turn to.

DONATE SADAQAH. LILAH.

ALHAMDULILLAH

We remain guided by the timeless values and teachings of the Qur’an and the prophetic example (Sunnah),

  • Sincerity (Ikhlas) – In responding to poverty and suffering, our efforts are driven by sincerity to God and the need to fulfil our obligations to humanity.
  • Excellence (Ihsan) – Our actions in tackling poverty are marked by excellence in our operations and the conduct through which we help the deserving people we serve.
  • Compassion (Rahma) – We believe the protection and well-being of every life is of paramount importance and we shall join with other humanitarian actors to act as one in responding to suffering brought on by disasters, poverty and injustice.
  • Social Justice (Adl) – Our work is founded on enabling people and institutions to fulfil the rights of the poor and vulnerable. We work to empower the dispossessed towards realising their God-given human potential and develop their capabilities and resources.
  • Custodianship (Amana) – We uphold our duty of custodianship over Earth and its resources, and the trust people place in us as a humanitarian and development practitioner to be transparent and accountable.
100 donation policy

The most important question

The most important question should be
‘is your donation being used effectively?’

The answer is YES! Each day, Muslim Welfare Trust works hard to be a safe pair of hands for your donations. We’re accountable to you, to the people we serve, and most importantly to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎.

100% ZAKAT.
100% SADAQAH.
100% TRUST.

To cover our admin costs, we use Gift Aid, money received from institutional donors for admin purposes (home and abroad), or direct donations from people like yourself.

MWT maintains an internal record of the 100% donation policy- as of our last financial year, we are happy to report we continue to maintain the 100% donation policy.

Our 100% donation policy means that every penny you donate is used in the delivery of humanitarian projects and directly related costs. Indirect and administrative costs are covered by either direct donations themselves or by using Gift Aid.

HELP US REMAIN 100%

Donate to admin costs; a one-off single payment or a small regular monthly payment can help us to ensure every penny you donate reaches the people who need it most.

Emergencies

Conflicts and disasters.

Conflicts and disasters can have a devastating effect on families’ ability to get food, putting huge numbers of children at risk of malnutrition. When an emergency hits, MWT leads the global response, coordinating other humanitarian organizations to deliver life-saving food to where it’s needed as quickly as possible. Last year, conflicts around the world left 350 million children in need of humanitarian aid. In Bangladesh, one of the largest crises of recent times forced hundreds of thousands of Rohingya people to flee violence in Myanmar.
