Thousands killed after three deadly earthquakes hit Turkey.

On Monday 6 February, an initial magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit in southern Turkey close to the border with northern Syria. A second 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck 9 hours later, with aftershocks following.
Many thousands of men, women and children have died or are injured in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. It is not too late to save lives. GIVE HOPE THROUGH YOUR SADAQAH AND ZAKAT

water issues in africa

Children often bear the burden of walking miles each day to find water in streams and ponds. Sickness and the time lost fetching it robs entire communities of their futures.

Every day, more than 800 children die from preventable diseases caused by unclean water, or a lack of sanitation and hygiene. Poor sanitation, water and hygiene affect more than just children`s health.

IMAGINE

When your child comes to you, asking you for food, and you have no food for her to eat, and yet you have to send her to fetch water. With an empty stomach.

With an empty stomach, she has to walk 6 hours for a gallon of dirty water.

Because of that water, imagine seeing your daughter take her last breath.

Diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

43% of those deaths are children under five years old. Access to clean water and basic sanitation can save around 16,000 lives every week.

This tragic and massive loss of life, most of which was due to preventable or treatable causes, is a stark reminder of the urgent need to end preventable deaths of children and young people.

Hunger.

Each day, 25,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, die from hunger and related causes. Some 854 million people worldwide are estimated to be undernourished, and high food prices may drive another 100 million into poverty and hunger.

£45 can provide a family Food Pack containing a whole month’s supply of essentials.

The Benefit

The first and most obvious benefit is that it earns one a place in Paradise. Ka’b (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Giving Sadaqah on Friday is better than giving it on any other day of the week”.

Earn the blessings of Jummah

“Giving charity on Friday with regard to the rest of the week is the best day to do so. This is similar to the superiority of giving charity during Ramadhan, with regard to the rest of the months.” Ibn Al-Qayyim
